The metamorphosis would be the word occupies my mind what is happening to everyone lately. But in a which way? As Kafka stated for Gregor Samsa, the way through the conversion to become an insect with the free soul or to become a sheep with a feeling of obligation in herd instinct? Presumably, my perception into that novella differs in such a way that usually reminds me of the perfection expression of Nazım Hikmet(and unfortunately with my bizarre translation!) “To live as an individual and independent like a tree; and fraternally like a wood..”
Trying to find my own way by my car on a highway and in my own lane with a regular speed as well as for the community to be succesfull wholely to regulate their rules without harming anyone, that is the intended life.
Just wanna be the individual not to stand out of the herd or not to deeply anchor in it.
Referring to “Flammy Days”, what makes hard to burn the professor after he dies according to his beliefs, even though he desires and struggles for that before migrate to other world? What beliefs or thoughts or rules can strongly oppose his wish and deter from its happening? That is the herd-minded attitude is obeyed by like-minded people without questioning. “Not be individual, just do what everyone does” is the idea for the herd-minded community. That is their difference from the insect-minded people who are, though lonely, are at peace with themselves and the world too..
It's been months, away you went,
ReplyDeleteSince you banished our hut and hood..
I remember the precious time we spent.
I was always in a parental mood..
All speach I made and all I meant,
Supplied our friendship some water and food..
Here, another product of ours,
Among the already together spent hours..
At least we could have said "bye.."
Ot at least could have expressed "why"..
